Hymns Ancient Modern is a free app available on Android that allows users to explore the most famous hymn book in the world. With over 840 hymns and songs from Ancient & Modern (2013), users can find hymns by number, first line, author, or composer. Additionally, the app allows users to browse the collection by theme, Bible reference, or Church calendar. The text size can be adjusted to suit the user's preference and they can build their own lists of hymns and sync their choices across devices by signing in with their Hymns Ancient & Modern account.
The app includes hymns for all the seasons of the Church year, new items for carol services, songs for all-age worship, fresh translations of some ancient hymnody, short songs and chants, and music from the world church. However, it is important to note that while the app is free to download, it does offer subscription options for users who want to access more features. Users can choose a 1 or 12-month subscription, which will be charged to their Google account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
